Retinaldehyde
Description
Retinal or Retinene-1 is the precursor of retinoic acid (vitamin A active).
Active principle
Retinaldehyde is said to stimulate the production of collagen and elasticin fibre and to be effective in reducing aging signs of the skin (wrinkles, fine lines, texture, hyperpigmentation). It is also recommended to treat acne. Retinaldehyde is less irritating and generally better tolerated than retinoic acid.
