Common uses

This medication is typically used for hepatitis C. It requires a few weeks to take effect.

How to use this medication

This product must be injected under the skin (subcutaneously), according to the technique you were shown. Be sure to choose a different injection site each time.

Take this medication regularly and continuously to maintain its beneficial effects. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed.

Possible side effects

In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some side effects, notably:

• it may cause headaches;
• it may cause unusual tiredness;
• it may cause muscle pain;
• it may cause a fever;
• it may cause sleep disturbances or insomnia;
• it may cause nausea or, rarely, vomiting.

Storage information

Taking this medication during pregnancy may be harmful for the baby. Women of childbearing potential and men who are taking the medication should use two effective contraceptive methods during treatment and for several months after the end of it. Ask your healthcare professional for details.

Pregnant women should not use this product. If you're planning a pregnancy or become pregnant, contact your family doctor. Pregnant contacts should also be protected from exposure to the medication.
